Part of the appeal in Adele's pop persona lies in her no-holds-barred approach to the industry. How refreshing, then, to note that attitude seemingly extends to all facets of her life -- including a near encounter with a rogue animal.

The “Hello” singer was caught off guard during her show in Mexico City last night (Nov. 15), when she spotted a bat swooping around the arena, through the audience, only to land dangerously close to a concertgoer's skull.

Upon sight of this encounter, Adele reacted the way most would, her speech suddenly peppered with swear words and alarmist rhetoric: “There’s a bat, it landed right by your head!”

Then, to further illustrate the flying creature, Adele launched into an overt bat impression — complete with flapping wings.

“Oh my god, there’s a f—king bat,” Adele continued, screaming at an audience member in an attempt at shared awareness. “Welcome to Mexico! It’s true, I’m happy to be here, but a f—king bat, Jesus Christ.”

The sight apparently triggered a long-ago memory where Adele encountered a bat in her own home.

"Anyway, like I said. One time a bat got into my house. It was very scary," she said via the Metro. "I was on my own. It very, very, scary. I had to deal with it. I had to put all the lights off and put a torch right by a window. It’s a long story, I’ll tell you another time."
