Have you Twihards and Adele-loving nerds freaked out yet? These two Brits were at a party together, and even though we’d imagine it to be the most boring party since Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin‘s wedding, we were pleasantly surprised to learn that Adele and Rob Pattinson had an argument!

Pattinson confessed to the argument on ‘George Stroumboulopoulos Tonight,’ and this is what went down. Apparently Rob was talking up the Grammy-winning singer and made a big mistake by telling her to aim high with her career. You know, some typical “reach for the stars” ‘Toy Story’ kind of thing:

“I had this argument with Adele which is probably the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever said,” he said on CBC’s ‘Tonight.’ “I was saying, ‘You know, you can really just like reach for it,’ and she was like, ‘You do realize I am like the biggest-selling female artist ever?’ And I just for some reason just decided to get into an argument with her.”

He did, however add: “I woke up the next day really regretting the whole thing.” Now if it were us, we would’ve given him one of these, flipped our hair, and left. But not Adele. She put his non-Grammy winning, non-Oscar winning, non-any kind of award that matters winning a— in place.
