‘Ain’t I a Woman?’ Actress Laverne Cox, From ‘Orange Is the New Black,’ Heads to Ellensburg

GET READY, CWU! She's coming to your town tonight, taking names and hopefully writing up some fashion police tickets. Just kidding! Laverne is in town to give a presentation titled, "Ain't I a Woman."

Laverne is one of America's most influential transgender people, and she'll be speaking at 7 p.m. in the SURC Theatre on campus. Her visit is hosted by CWU's Women's and Gender Studies program.

Laverne was featured in "I Want to Work for Diddy" in 2008, and now she is a member of the award-winning cast of "Orange Is The New Black," as well as the recipient of the 2014 Glamour Magazine Woman of the Year award.

I cannot wait to meet Laverne after the show! I will be sure to take some pics!
