Amanda Bynes Wants Barack Obama’s Help Getting Out of Her DUI

Amanda Bynes has had a spate of driving-related mishaps of late, and now she’s calling in the big guns to help her out: President Obama.

Back in March, Bynes was pulled over for talking on her cell phone while driving (that’s a no-no in her home state of California), but while the officer was writing a ticket, she sped off. Then, just a few weeks later, she sideswiped a police car and blithely drove away, eventually being arrested for drunk-driving.

Now TMZ reports that although Bynes escaped a hit-and-run charge, she’s now been formally dinged with one count of misdemeanor DUI and that the D.A. “has sought a sentencing enhancement because the actress refused to take either a breathalyzer or a blood test.”

Worst case scenario if she’s convicted? Six months in jail, although as we’ve seen with Lindsay Lohan, a few hours in the slammer is likely all Bynes would serve due to overcrowding.

But regardless, she took to her Twitter account to express her outrage, and that’s where the Commander-in-Chief comes in:

There’s so much hilarity here that we’re not even sure where to start. Suffice it to say that TMZ has caught Bynes on tape at least once when she was clearly intoxicated, but the real proof that she may not be entirely sober is the fact that she asked for help from the Leader of the Free World. That alone sounds like a drunken antic.

Most recently, Bynes backed over a curb while texting, and she’s also been spotted holding up traffic while making a slow three-point U-turn, after which a witness said she “looked out of it.”

Maybe it’s just us, but we’d rather go to rehab than admit we drive that badly while sober.
