I recently found out there are groups on Facebook that provide superb discounts on items, but there's a catch -- you have to give it a positive review. What you have to do in return isn't illegal, but is it immoral?

Here's basically how it works. Once you're added to the Facebook group (of which there are several, just search for Amazon Review) they post an item that you can get at a discount. You can opt in, but it doesn't mean you'll be able to get it. If you are chosen, you have to buy the item immediately using their special discount code and, once you have the item, you must give a positive review. Even if you don't like the item, it has to be a positive review of 4 or 5 stars. It also has to be at least 150 words.

Now, there's nothing illegal about this at all. Immoral, perhaps, as reviews should be legitimate reviews, not one-sided, not from an endorser, but from someone like you or me with an actual opinion on a product so strong to leave a note about it.

On the other hand, you're opting in for these products. Nobody is forcing anyone to buy anything, so the items you're buying at a discount are ones you probably want in the first place.

What do you think? Sound off and take the poll.
