Kanye West had the Internet going nuts on Tuesday (Dec. 13) when he showed up at Trump Tower early in the morning for a meeting with the President-elect. E! News reported later in the day that Trump and Kanye met to talk about “a potential role for the rapper...an ambassador of sorts” with plenty weighing in online as to Kanye's motives and thoughts.

A$AP Ferg took to Twitter to share his take, saying that those criticizing West should give him for credit as a strategist. "I think @kanyewest was right today for meeting up with trump !!!," he wrote. "You need to know where this man head is at !!! He rules your nation. I think @kanyewest is smarter than we think he is, he’s getting closer to trump so he can get more insight on his plans!!! ur take?…U never know what a conversation can do. Y’all [are] free to think whatever y’all want about rump or @Kanye I was just giving you my take on it. Ye is strategic not dumb."

West himself offered an explanation on Twitter, writing, “I wanted to meet with Trump today to discuss multicultural issues. These issues included bullying, supporting teachers, modernizing curriculums, and violence in Chicago. I feel it is important to have a direct line of communication with our future President if we truly want change."

Check out Ferg's tweets above, with time ultimately telling what role West will have in a Trump presidency or what relationship the two will forge.
