Rik Mikals

I've been up and down the radio dial -- as the infamous "WKRP" theme song says. I started right out of high school in 1988 in my hometown of Clarkston Wash., at KCLK -- a country station -- and from there moved all over Idaho, Montana, California and Washington state at various radio stations. I was on KMPS in Seattle in the '90s and moved to Yakima in '98 as Program Director of KFFM. I moved again and again until I was in Bakersfield Calif., and then Tri-Cities. Finally I have come full circle back to Yakima as the Operations Manager for KFFM. I bought a farm in Prosser and have two great dogs named Phoebe and Barkley. My son is an aspiring musician who plays, performs and writes original music in his band, No Hope. I'm known for having a never-ending knowledge of pop culture, and I'm a huge comic book fan -- I have a collection easily totaling more than 5,000 comics.
It's hard to believe that only a scant year or two ago, '24' fans continually had to wonder if Jack Bauer would ever return for the long-awaited movie rendition of Kiefer Sutherland's growling counter-terrorism agent. We've since seen Jack's grand return 'Live Another Day' on FOX, but has the rebooted series finally gotten the ball rolling on a movie development, or merely another round of TV?
