Todd Lyons

My name is Todd E. Lyons. On the radio you probably know me as “Todd E. Lyons, Esquire.” Every morning, hundreds of women wake up with me. I have shared the airwaves in the mornings (6A-9A) with you since 1998 and look forward to it every day. I was born in Seattle, Washington, the son of a sharecropper. My family and I moved to the “Fruit Bowl of the Nation” when I was a wee lad of only seven. I spent my formative years in the West Valley of Yakima area, indoctrinated in public school. I became keenly familiar with the “special” desk while attending Apple Valley Elementary. The teachers referred to it as the “isolation booth,” but I called it the “special desk.” Most of what I know today however can be credited to the “School of Hard Knocks.” I am extremely fortunate to work on the very radio station I grew up listening to. I loved listening to KATS so much when I was younger that I not only was a client, I became an employee! If you ever see me stumbling about this great valley of ours, please give me a shout. I would love to talk with you and find out what you think about 94.5 KATS!

Explosions at Boston Marathon Finish Line [UPDATED]

5:40 p.m. (EST): Boston police have denied earlier reports from The New York Post (see below) that a suspect was in custody. "At this time, we haven't been notified of any arrests or anyone apprehended," said a spokesperson. "Honestly, I don't know where they're getting their information from, but it didn't come from us."

5:30 p.m.: The New York Times published an overhead map showing the exact locations of the two explosions, which were about 550 feet from each other and occurred about 20 seconds apart.

Mariners Fan Catches Foul Ball In His Beer Cup

In last night's debacle at SafeCo Field, where the Mariners dropped their second consecutive game to the Houston Lastros.

The one highlight for the local nine didn't even occur on the field but, rather, at the hand (and cup!) of a fan who made what is arguably the greatest foul ball catch ever. His post-souvenir celebration may have actually trumped the catch itself!

Watch and learn from what is clearly a baseball fan ninja!

Dad’s Letter To Gay Son Goes Viral [PHOTO]

Things travel fast on the information superhighway (the internet) and the days of the 24-hour news cycle tend to make us discard information as quickly as we get it.

Every once in a while though, something grabs the attention and tugs at our very base humanity, for better or worse, and gets spread rapidly far and wide.

The term coined is "gone viral."  This is an example that I stumbled across on a number of Facebook posts today.
