Lest you think Dwayne Johnson‘’s HBO Ballers couldn’t get any more Entourage beyond the involvement of Mark Wahlberg and Stephen Levinson, the series is officially California-bound. Season 3 of the half-hour sports comedy will shift its locale from Florida to the west coast, owing to the former’s tax credit issue.

Per The Hollywood Reporter, the already-renewed Ballers will film its third season in California after Florida’s film and television tax incentives program expired this year. The last of the programs funds went to Ballers Season 2 and Netflix’s Bloodline, which itself will now shoot a final season, rather than risk more expensive production costs.

Produced by Johnson and Entourage heads Mark Wahlberg and Stephen Levinson, half-hour dramedy Ballers follow[ed] the lives of Miami-based active and retired athletes, Johnson among them. The series also stars Hot Tub Time Machine traveler Rob Corddry, Omar Benson Miller, John David Washington, Troy Garity, Donovan Carter, Jazmyn Simon, Taylor Cole and LeToya Luckett.

It remains to be seen how Ballers itself will pivot to reflect the change, but is California a better fit for the football dramedy regardless?
