Big Time Rush are the new Fab Four — for six songs at least — on the soundtrack to their Nickelodeon film ‘Big Time Movie,’ which contains new covers from the boy band of classic Beatles tunes.

Kendall, James, Carlos and Logan fill the roles of John, Paul, George and Ringo capably on the half-dozen tracks, which stick to the classic arrangements with only very minor changes. Most of the songs covered are poppy hits from the early Beatlemania era like ‘I Wanna Hold Your Hand,’ ‘Can’t Buy Me Love’ and ‘Help!,’ though the boys also take on the harder-rocking ‘Revolution.’

Band member James Maslow tells Billboard the group attempted to live up to the high standard set by the Beatles. “We were all a little nervous — I mean, they’re the greatest band in history. We weren’t trying to replicate them, but wanted to pay homage to them as much as possible.”

The soundtrack hits iTunes next Tuesday, March 6, while the movie premieres on Nickelodeon on Saturday, March 10. In the movie, the guys end up teaming with spies in England as they embark on a mission to save the world.

Big Time Rush have plotted out an extensive summer tour beginning in July that will feature opening acts Cody Simpson and Rachel Crow. Maslow promises “bigger venues, more songs, and more pyro — that’s my personal favorite.”
