A star was born on the 'X Factor' audition stage in Providence, R.I. tonight (Sept. 13), when Carly Rose Sonenclar took the stage and belted out Nina Simone's standard 'Feeling Good.' Big deal, right? A lot of reality show wannabes sing the song while looking for their big break, but not all of them are age 13, like Carly.

The adorbs teen is the quintessential girl-next-door, with long brown locks and jean shorts. But she looks to be this season's Rachel Crow, an unexpected belter with the pipes of a seasoned veteran. When she revealed which song she would tackle, the judges were skeptical, but when she opened her mouth and let us hear that gorgeous voice, L.A. Reid gasped, "Say what?" Yeah, it was that good.

Carly showed us blue-eyed soul that hasn't hit puberty yet. She was feeling good and she sounded better. Where the hell did a 13-year-old child get this kind of weathered soul in her voice? We're not quite sure, but we want to hear more.

She got a standing O from the judge's table and was unanimously sent through to the next round. Britney Spears called her "Miss Thang" and a little diva, while Reid declared, "Honey, you may be 13, but your soul is old."

Perhaps Simon Cowell said it best, when he proclaimed, "A star has just walked out on that stage."

We couldn't agree more.
