Could ‘Skreens’ Revolutionize How We Interact Digitally?
I recently discovered a project called Skreens, which will let you watch TV, play video games, interact on social media, do stuff online and more all at once -- and all on one monitor. Sounds like a lot, but this could revolutionize how we watch TV or play video games and more.
When you think about it, it's kind of what we're already doing, but we're doing this with every device possible.
I have friends who love football, but it's not enough to just watch football anymore. While football is playing on TV, they all have their phones armed up and cued to Facebook or Twitter, getting ready to add their own play-by-play commentary or cheer for their favorite teams plays or shun the refs on bad calls. They have a laptop or computer open with apps from their fantasy football leagues to keep in touch with what's going on there, someone may be streaming another football game on their iPad or something ... it sounds like a lot all at once and that's because it is.
With Skreens, you can put all of it on one TV or monitor so everyone can be involved as well.
I think it's a neat idea. I'm looking forward to seeing what else it can do.
This product started out as a Kickstarter and has already smashed its goal in just the first few moments it was live. You'll see this available sooner than later.
