The second annual Ride D'Vine to benefit Catholic Charites Housing Services (CCHS) will take place on Saturday, Aug. 9.

This cycling fundraising event will benefit local housing programs and services for low-income families. The 25-, 50- or 70-mile scenic ride will take participants from Yakima to Zillah through hop fields, orchards and vineyards.

Ride D’Vine will start at Sarg Hubbard Park and travel along the Yakima Greenway, through hop fields and up Konnowac Pass, winding along the ridge top, and then passing through apple and cherry orchards and vineyards. Participates are invited to stop at local wineries on the outskirts of Zillah, where they can enjoy wine tasting and sightseeing. An additional highlight of the scenic route will be an opportunity to see Buena Nueva, one of the first affordable housing developments owned and managed by CCHS.

Cost is $50 per rider. Preregister online or call (509) 853-2800. Preregistration is encouraged as the ride will be limited to 200 participants.
