Davis High School Cash Stolen for Football Camp – You Can Help
Whenever you see high schoolers out doing car washes, bake sales and doughnut drives for their school, it always goes towards a good cause. Maybe it’s for new uniforms or covers the cost of transportation to give them the opportunity to branch out their experience somewhere else. The A.C. Davis high school football team was raising money to attend football camp at Eastern Washington University but the money they have been raising has been stolen.
Each player was set to raise $285. On Friday, all of the cash that players turned in for camp was stolen from their coach’s home. They’re scheduled to leave for camp on Wednesday and are scrambling to come up with the money needed for camp. They’re reaching out to the community to help cover costs. Team captains and coaches will be at the Davis soccer field on 7th avenue from Noon to 4 on Monday to accept any donations from anyone in the community. All money donated goes straight into the football camp fun for the team.
As humble as they are, it was hard for them to reach out to ask for help as they feel it’s important to encourage a culture at Davis of setting goals and then working hard to earn accomplishments.
