Here we go again — more than a year after the release of ConfidentDemi Lovato is back in the studio and ready to make more music. Still, don't expect a new release before the New Year's Eve Ball drops.

In a new interview with ExtraLovato said she's definitely looking forward to her next project, but insisted she'll remain on "a break" through at least the end of the year.

"I’m in the studio right now,” she confirmed. "I don’t know when I’ll release it — I’ll release it when it’s ready."

Lovato also opened up in the interview about life with bipolar disorder, a condition with which she was diagnosed in 2011. She shared an update on her health with People yesterday (November 30), and added in her Extra chat that she's still learning how to be her best and healthiest self.

"I take it one day at a time and I do things for myself that make me feel good," she said. "So if it’s working out that makes me feel good, I make sure I get a good workout, if it’s taking care of myself where I see my therapist or see my psychiatrist, I make sure I do those things to maintain a healthy mind."

"It represents something that I have, it doesn’t represent who I am," she added.
