Major hosting alert! After delivering major keys at the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards, DJ Khaled has been hired to handle hosting duties a the 2016 BET Hip-Hop Awards.

Stephen Hill, who is BET’s head of programming, made the big announcement on Snapchat. The Miami super producer accepted the job and threw a few playful jabs at Hill.

“Don’t play yourself,” said Khaled. “You’ve been wanting me to host this for a long time. Congratulations, I’ll do it.”

Hill warned Khaled that he has to bring it to the awards ceremony. A nonchalant Khaled reassured the BET executive that he will bring plenty of entertainment to the show.

“I got this,” he replied. “Congratulations, you’re gonna have another win under your belt. Matter of fact, another one."

"Go ahead and book your vacation, we’re good. I got this. I’m hosting the BET Hip-Hop Awards," he finished.

Khaled's friend Drake leads the pack of nominees with a whopping 14 nominations, including Album of the Year for Views, Best Live Performer and Lyricist of the Year.

Not too far behind him is his What a Time to Be Alive collaborator Future with 10 nominations, while Kanye West grabbed eight mentions in multiple categories.

Khaled is looking to take home some hardware as well. The We the Best honcho is up for nine awards, including DJ of the Year, MVP of the Year, and Hustler of the Year.
