Do People Actually Wear These Glasses on New Year’s Eve?

When I was growing up our New Year's party favors were mostly noise makers and maybe the party hat with garland around the base. Nothing too fancy and, even still, I avoided them as I didn't need them. I see these glasses that pop up every year and have literally seen nobody wear them.

Is anybody buying and wearing these because I haven't seen them anywhere.

I found the ones photoed via Amazon. They are clearly labeled as more prop than actual eye wear.

The one in the picture above isn't as bad as some of the other ones, either.

The one I found on reddit was way worse.

Now, when we rolled over from 1999 to the year 2000, I can see these prop glasses having a little fun as it was a huge thing. Maybe even 2001 since it's the start of the new millennium but now that we're 18 years past losing the 19 as the first couple letters, it'd time we retire these.
