My wife and I are still on our diligent search for a new home for our family. Our first time ever buying a house so we need all the help we can get. Originally, we always rented because we didn't think we could buy a house but, as it turns out, there are several resources that you can tap into that will help you buy your first home.

The easiest thing for you to do, seriously, is go to one of the Buyer's Agent home buying seminars. You know, you see the signs on street corners and the reason they're always there and always promoting new seminars is because they always work! Best of all, it's free. If you were like me and starting with nothing and no clue on what to do, this will point you in the right direction. They'll help you with mortgage lending, teach you that you'll need a property inspector to make sure your dream house is working properly, insurance and even help you look for the perfect home.

The next one is happening tomorrow:

Saturday, June 16th
2707 River Road in Yakima (Yakima Association of Realtors)
9am - 2pm

You may want to call ahead of time to reserve your seat - 575-1212
