Downtown Summer Nights Survival Guide – What To Bring
Downtown Summer Nights happens Thursdays nights all throughout summer. This free event starts at 5:00 p.m. on 4th street behind the Capitol Theatre. Before you head straight there, here are a few things you should consider bringing.
Even though admission is free, you should bring a few bucks to grab a bite to eat, buy something from one of the various vendors or partake in the beverage garden.
Downtown Summer Nights starts at 5:00 p.m. The sun hasn’t set yet so better wear sunscreen, just in case.
Broadcast to the world that you’re at Downtown Summer Night by checking-in on Facebook or Foursquare. Tweet, Facebook, Instagram – all of that, using the hashtag #DowntownSummerNights so you can also see what everyone else is up to.
Your Friends and Family
Hey! It’s a free event! Why not bring as many people as you can and turn it into a party!
In what could be your children’s first concert experience, bring the kids to dance to the live music or play in the kid’s activities area.
4th Street is on asphalt so wearing comfy shoes is probably the way to go.
Not that you need to bring a chair, but they’re welcome to prop up to sit and enjoy the show.
An Extra Bag
Even if you don’t bring it with you, may be a good idea to keep in your car so you can carry all the cool stuff you’ll be picking up from the vendors.
So you can shake it to the live music.
