Hollywood isn't short on origin stories these days, and the first 'Dracula Untold' posters have emerged to herald the arrival of yet another one. Luke Evans, last seen in 'Fast and Furious 6' and 'The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug,' leads his own blockbuster as the man who would soon be known to the world as the iconic vampire lord, Dracula.

UPDATE: We've included the US poster debut, which came via IGN.

While there haven't been many waves of information or previews from Universal's upcoming film, the 'Dracula Untold' posters do well in whipping up some interest, if only through resembling those posters for Christopher Nolan's 'Batman Begins.'

In 'Dracula Untold,' which marks the directorial debut of Gary Shore, Evans' portrays Vlad Tepes, a historical 15th century prince who served as the basis for the story of Dracula, and was nicknamed "The Impaler" for the excessive cruelty he inflicted. Pegged as an action-adventure, 'Dracula Untold' also features Sarah Gadon, Dominic Cooper, Diarmaid Murtagh and Samantha Barks, and will hit theaters on October 17.
