Drew Barrymore is here to remind us that the glamorous life of Hollywood stars isn't all it's cracked up to be.

On Thursday (Dec. 20), the Santa Clarita Diet actress shared a super heartbreaking selfie of herself crying in order to prove to fans that even famous people have bad days. The 43-year-old posted two photos to her Instagram account — one of herself looking made-up and smiling and another of herself makeup-free and crying — alongside a lengthy caption that will probably put things in perspective for us normal folk.

"Some days are great and beautiful," she began. "Sure, I can be this with two hours of hair and makeup and amazing photography and lighting. I also feel beautiful after a sweaty workout. But it all takes work! Which is good because we can achieve it."

Barrymore went on to explain that though she realizes how blessed she is because her issues are "solvable," she also acknowledges that it's perfectly OK for her to not feel her best all the time.

"What I can’t hide is that some days are difficult and not so pretty... (swipe for photo #2 and I realize I am lucky with solvable problems and my gratitude is never ending," she added. "But sometimes life can just get to you and take you down for a minute! But we cry and then pick ourselves up and put one foot in front of the other)."

Thank you, Drew, for being so damn real.
