Dua Lipa's license to kill may be pending — the "IDGAF" hitmaker could be the next in line to sing the theme song for a forthcoming James Bond flick.

According to Capital FM, Ed Sheeran and Adele were likely contenders to get the gig (Adele previously penned and performed "Skyfall" for the eponymous 2012 007 film), but Lipa's meteoric rise to fame over the past year has catapulted her out toward the front of the pack.

"Bookmakers have reduced the odds of Dua being named as the Bond theme singer, now making her the favourite, with Ed Sheeran and Jessie J also being strongly touted as potential artists to get involved," the site says. "Many people had predicted fellow Brits Ed Sheeran or Adele would be likely to get the nod this time around, but Dua's fast-paced rise to superstardom appears to have made her the frontrunner for the job."

Sam Smith, Alicia Keys, Chris Cornell, Madonna and Sheryl Crow are just some of the massive A-list artists who have delivered Bond theme songs in recent years. And fans of Lipa's are certainly ready to add her to the list — they've been advocating for her hire on Twitter.

"i’ve just read that miss queen dua lipa is tipped to do the next james bond theme and WIG, PASS ME MY INHALER," one wrote, while another noted "forget James Bond... Dua Lipa will have done the killing first."
