Kickstarter Card Game Was Funded in 20 Minutes — Is Now Over Four Million and Growing

I'm a huge fan of Kickstarter and everything it is. If you have an idea and want to see your dream a reality, never mind taking it to Shark Tank, anyone can start a Kickstarter campaign to help someones project come to life. By 'backing' a project, there are perks which usually include getting the item once it's finished.

Someone had the idea for a fun card game. Not only did they accomplish their funding goal, but it's still growing at an alarming rate.

The game is simple enough. Don't draw the 'Exploding Kitten' card. If you do, you explode (hypothetically speaking) and you're out of the game. The other cards you draw you can use to your advantage like to defuse the Exploding Kitten card do you're not out.

The illustrations are from The Oatmeal who make a very popular web comic. It's a silly enough game to keep you giggling, but has real-time strategy as well.

To make this game happen they needed $10,000 and had a month to do it. They hit their goal in 20 minutes! In less than an hour they were 1000% funded.

Now, as I'm typing this, they still have 22 days to go and have already made 4.9 million dollars! It turns out a lot of people want this game!
