Five Ways to Stay Cool in Yakima
With record temperatures coming to our area, it's bound to be a hot one, for sure. Whether you have air conditioning or not, here are a few ways to stay cool this summer.
Stick Your Head in the Freezer
Pros: You don't have to travel far and instant gratification.
Cons: You can't do it for too long without someone yelling at you.
Go Swimming
Pros: It's a great way to have fun and cool off at the same time.
Cons: Like most activities, you have to deal with other people who'll probably annoy you.
Watch a Movie
Pros: Movie theaters have awesome air conditioning!
Cons: It may cost more than you hoped. If a movie you want to watch isn't out yet, that'd be another con.
Hang Out in the Cooler Section
Pros: Costco, Cash and Carry, Albertsons and other stores have walk-in coolers. Just pretend to go shopping.
Cons: You may have to, eventually, buy something.
Sleep During the Day
This was my daughter's idea and she's not wrong. If it's hot during the day, then just sleep until dark and turn nocturnal.
Pros: It's free.
Cons: It may not fit for everyone's schedule.
