Christmas (and Halloween and Thanksgiving and New Year's) have come early: Fuller House will return before the end of 2016, show star Candace Cameron Bure announced today (September 21) on The View.

The Netflix series, which premiered in February as an extension of the early '90s sitcom Full House, will debut brand new episodes on December 9. According to Cameron Bure, the Families Fuller, Tanner and Gibbler will have plenty to celebrate.

“I’m super excited our season this year is very holiday-themed,” The View panelist said. “We have a Halloween show, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years Eve, and lots of family."

John Brotherton, who played DJ's love interest in Fuller House Season 1, will return to the show, and Hal Sparks will join on as one of DJ's ex-boyfriends, Nelson, according to Entertainment Weekly (Jason Marsden previously played the character). Jodie Sweetin's character, the perpetually single Stephanie, will also find love in a "weirdo" singer-songwriter named Jimmy, and Dave Coulier's character, Joey, will introduce his family's wife and kids for the first time. Finally, New Kids on the Block members Joey McIntyre, Danny Wood, Jordan Knight and Jonathan Knight will also appear.

And no, try as the Fuller House cast might, the Olsen Twins will not appear. On the other hand, Bob Saget, John Stamos and Lori Loughlin will reprise their roles as Danny, Jesse and Becky, respectively.
