Today I read with great interest about GasBuddy.com, a website with the basic purpose of helping consumers find the cheapest gas prices in the Yakima Valley.

Taken from the GasBuddy.com website, it states "The USA consumes 400 million gallons of gasoline every day. This red hot demand for gas has pushed gas prices to record highs. Gas prices often vary significantly. In many areas, fuel prices can vary by 20-30 cents per gallon or more within a very small area. This makes it even more important for motorists in to shop around to find the best deal on fuel. GasBuddy provides you with the tools you need to find the lowest gas prices."

While I am in no way affiliated with GasBuddy.com, I think it's definitely worth your time to give it a shot, especially when it comes to saving money at the pump.

Basically, GasBuddy.com is one of many (185) local websites under the www.GasBuddy.com umbrella. Its purpose is to gather prices of gas via volunteers. These volunteers report gas prices and can earn points and be eligible for prizes in doing so.

In addition to being free to join, volunteers also enjoy recognition on the website that appears to be based on how often they report in gas prices and the number of "points" they earn for doing so.

Additionally, GasBuddy.com lists ways you save on gas including "change the way in which you drive,"
