After months of rampant rumors surrounding their return, the ladies of Girls' Generation are finally — officially — making their highly anticipated comeback.

And at a time when every other beloved girl group seems to be disbanding, their return couldn't be more welcome.

S.M. Entertainment confirmed in a Facebook post that the group, which hasn't released a studio album since 2015's Lion Heart, will make their official comeback in August to coincide with their 10th anniversary together as a group.

Since the group's last album, several of the members — including Taeyeon, Hyoyeon and Tiffany — have gone on to have successful solo careers in the interim. Which is great, of course! But now, they're finally back together again as the almighty GG.

Along with the release of their sixth full-length studio album, the girls will hold a fan event called Girls' Generation 10th Anniversary - Holiday to Remember, which will be held at Seoul Olympic Hall in the Olympic Park in early August. The group will reportedly perform their hits and reflect on "special memories they shared with fans since their debut."

S.M. previously confirmed that a title track for the comeback is ready to go. And SONEs won't have to wait too long to see their girls: the girls will be making their return to the stage in a matter of days with SMTOWN’s Live World Tour VI in Seoul on July 8.
