Giving the Gift of Life by Not Driving Impaired This Holiday Season (or Ever)

During the holiday season, parties are inevitable. Do the smart thing by having a plan so you don't drive impaired as even driving 'buzzed' can get you a DUI.

Washington State Patrol will be out in full force keeping our roads extra safe looking out for impaired drivers. As if it wasn't dangerous enough, the impaired driving combined with icy road conditions are sure to cause crashes.

There is an increase in the number of fatal crashes involving drivers under the influence. The greatest increase involves drivers with a combination of alcohol and drugs or a combination of drugs. This number went from 78 fatalities in 2011 to 146 fatalities in 2015. That’s an increase of 68 fatalities in five years.

DUIs are 100% avoidable. Have a plan and stick to it. The last thing anyone needs is a DUI which will not only cost you near $10,000 (for your first offense) but jail time as well, not to mention everything else that goes with it. It's not worth it.

Just letting you know that if you think you're going to get away with it, the Washington State Patrol knows otherwise.
