After a seven-year hiatus from touring North America, the Gorillaz are once again hitting the open road here. Following the release on their new album, Humanz, on April 28, the band will kick off a tour of the same name on July 8 in Chicago. Major stops along the way include, New York, Boston, Toronto, Quebec, San Francisco, Las Vegas (Life is Beautiful Festival), Philadelphia, and Florida.

Plus, April 21-23, Gorillaz are hosting an "immersive pop-up experience" in New York, which promises the appearance of the band's animated alteregos Murdoc, 2D, Russel and Noodle. The Gorillaz Spirit Houses use physical installations and projection mapping tech.

The Humanz Tour will have a number of popular guests singing alongside the Gorillaz, including De La Soul, Jehnny Beth (Savages), and Pusha T.
