Fans have remained loyal to NBC’s Grimm ‘til the last, propelling the supernatural cop drama through a whopping six seasons on Friday nights, but all fairy tales end sooner or later. So it is, that NBC confirms Grimm Season 6 will mark the end for all your favorite Wesen.

The sixth and final season of Grimm won’t officially premiere until January 6, but nonetheless mark a closing chapter for the Portland-based series. NBC had previously downed its 22-episode order to 13, but declined to confirm an official end before now.

Created by David Greenwalt, Jim Kouf and Stephen Carpenter, the series stars David Giuntoli, Sasha Roiz, Claire Coffee, Silas Weir Mitchell, Bree Turner, Bitsie Tulloch, Russell Hornsby and Reggie Lee. Behind Law & Order: SVU, Grimm actually ranked as NBC’s second longest-running series.

It’s worth acknowledging just how long Grimm survived under the threat of cancellation, but will a final thirteen episodes help send the series off in style? Stay tuned for more before the January premiere.
