Hannah Baker's story on 13 Reasons Why may have finally come to a close.

In a new interview with Entertainment Tonight, executive producer Mandy Teefey said that while the show has yet to receive a Season 3 decision, Hannah likely won't be featured even if they get the greenlight.

"Personally, as someone who thinks creatively, I feel it would be forced," she explained. "But Katherine [Langford, who plays the character] is so amazing. If we want to do storytelling, I don't know where it wouldn't feel forced. And she's going to be fine! We couldn't have been more lucky to have had her."

Teefey's comments come on the heels of the teen drama's newly debuted second season, in which Hannah, who committed suicide in Season 1, appears as a ghost-like figment of Clay's imagination.

Without giving away too many spoilers, it is, indeed, difficult to see where Hannah might fit within another potential chapter. Season 1 unraveled the narrative exclusively through her eyes, while Season 2 expanded to include the rest of the characters' perspectives. Now that viewers have seen the past play out from all sides, it makes sense that a third installment would focus primarily on present day, and aside from the occasional flashback, that no longer includes Hannah.

Of course, that doesn't shut the door to more Hannah entirely, but it's a safe bet that even if she does return to the series, her role will be significantly scaled back. As for 13 Reasons Why getting a third season? That seems more hopeful.

"There are so many places for it to go, I think," Teefey said. ""And I think [creator Brian Yorkey], it's mustered in his brain, so I definitely feel like we can always explore more. But I don't know. That's a tricky one [to answer]."
