NEW YEAR, NEW HILARY DUFF. Well, new hair at least.

For the majority of her career, the former Tinder queen has played it safe, hair-wise, with either blonde or brunette tresses. But over the past year, she's forayed into the unnatural color sphere, opting for a slew of less-boring pastel looks: She's had teal endspink hair that was painfully short-lived and even a dishwater-grey mess that stuck around for far too long. It was vaguely disappointing when she reverted back to blonde, because she became a symbol for all things possible, style-wise.

But 21 days into 2016, guilty working mother Hilary Duff has officially gone back to pastel hair.

Channeling her inner Kylie Jenner (or perhaps her inner Zayn), Hilary settled on a faded pink that various media outlets with colorblind staff members have mislabeled purple, according to Facebook's trending topics.

If you’re looking to replicate Hilary’s new pink hair (which you can check out above), be warned: It took two people to come up with her specific shade of pink. Colorists Nikki Lee and Amber Maynard-Bolt used products from evo to create the custom color, according to a report from StyleCaster. Stylist Riawna Capri, meanwhile, gave Hilary an updated choppy cut with more layers and defined texture.

All three work at Nine Zero One salon in West Hollywood, so when you're in Los Angeles with a burning desire to tap into the latest hair trend and you've got money to burn (a woman's haircut alone can cost anywhere from $125 to $350), we encourage you to channel your inner-Hilary and make an appointment.
