Fashion campaigns have always been essential to celebrity culture. But as of late, especially in 2016, a lot of fashion brands have decided to reach out to the hottest hip-hop artists of the moment.

Most recently, German sportswear brand Puma, tapped Mississippi duo, Rae Sremmurd to be the faces of their fall 2016 campaign, which is intended to push the Puma Suede Classic sneaker. Two rappers who have appeared in multiple campaigns this year have been former XXL Freshmen, Travi$ Scott and Fetty Wap. The Houston rapper has appeared in this year's ads for NikeLab's 2016 collaborative collection with Riccardo Tisci and Alexander Wang's spring/summer 2016 campaign. Fetty on the other hand, was featured in the early Calvin Klein ads that included Kendrick Lamar andJoey Bada$$, and the NikeLab x Riccardo Tisci campaign.

Over the years there's been an influx of fashion brands and streetwear companies reaching out to hip-hop celebs. With the influence of today's rap artists, expect more brands to feature rap acts in their respective campaigns. Now that we're at the mid-point of 2016, XXL has rounded up all of the hip-hop artists who have appeared in fashion campaigns in 2016 thus far.
