Kendrick Lamar didn't bring home a single Grammy award despite being nominated in seven different categories last night (Jan. 26), but he did give the ceremony a highlight with his 'm.A.A.d City'/'Radioactive' mash-up performance with Imagine Dragons. The 'Radioactive' remix with the Compton rapper hit the Internet soon after.

Some may gawk at the idea of one of hip-hop's golden boys doing a crossover performance with a successful rock act because of the constant paranoia at the possibility of him selling out. But what Lamar risks in credibility he makes up for by tripling the energy. The internal rhyme schemes are in full effect, and by the end of his verse, Lamar goes full punk rock as he burns out with a yell.

"I could drown in a bottle of Hennessy, f--- your amenities / I'm gettin' better with time," is what he ends with. Perhaps this is true, and there'll definitely be more opportunities to win a Grammy if he keeps this up.

Lamar will continue touring overseas in South Africa, the Philippines and Australia next month. There's no word on an album release this year, but it's very possible a project from him could be one of the six TDE albums the label plans to drop in 2014.
