Baby Joel asked me about the fried chicken in town. Although we don't have many options, my personal favorite comes from, of all places, a supermarket. It's time to get Baby Joel 'Yaklimated' to the fried chicken at Wray's Food Store.

It was also his first time at Wray's Marketfresh IGA. He was amazed that the store at 56th and Summitview avenues had a mail center and auto licensing area. After giving him a quick tour showcasing the local produce and items, we made our way to the deli case.

Even if I'm not that hungry, I'll order the eight-piece leg and thigh as those two are my favorite parts of fried chicken and it's only $5.99. Extra fried chicken makes for great leftovers.

We grabbed our order and something to drink, sat at the tables inside the store and dug in.

There's something magical about fresh fried chicken. They fry it to perfection and the breading is perfect. It's the perfect amount of crunch-itude. He loved it, we brought the rest back to the station and snacked for the rest of the day.

We went to the Wray's Marketfresh IGA at 56th and Summitview, but there's also a Wray's at 72nd and Nob Hill Boulevard as well as Third and Nob Hill. If you're in the mood for chicken, I'd say check it out.
