P.S. It's illegal to warm up your car unattended -- that's true in Yakima and all of Washington state.

According to the Washington State Legislature, it's illegal to leave your car unattended without first stopping the engine. This means that you can't just warm up your car while you get ready for work inside your warm home so you have a warm car to hop into for your morning commute.

I firmly believe you shouldn't do this because of the high car-theft rate in Yakima. Not only that, but if the car happens to start rolling and you're not in it, you're still liable for all property damage and injuries your two-ton metal beast can cause when you're not around.

Depending on the potential damage your car could cause, you could liable for anything from a gross misdemeanor to a Class C felony.

Just don't.
