"I believe the children are our future" Don't lie you know you sang that back in your best Whitney Houston voice ;)

Seriously though, if we didn't have students like 15-year-old Jeamie from Sunnyside taking their passions and turning them into realities where would we be? We need the movers and the shakers to be recognized so I was SUPER excited when I read in the Yakima Herald-Republic about Jazmine's debut on Friday's fourth annual WE Day special, airing on ABC at 8 p.m. Central Time.

Hosted by the one and only Uncle Jesse, aka John Stamos, it's going to feature Selena Gomez, Jennifer Aniston, The Chainsmokers, and more to celebrate young world-changers and part of that group is our very own Jazmine Gonzalez of Sunnyside.

She took it upon herself to create a WE Schools club at school after hearing about the program and even set up a concession stand at local sporting events with the grant money she received to continue the project! She is now being recognized for her effort along with kids from all over the nation! So proud we have someone from our state paving the way and just as excited about the incredible adults who created this program and are affording our youth the opportunity to make their dreams become realities!
