John Legend Joins Meghan Trainor for Soulful ‘Like I’m Gonna Lose You’ at 2015 Billboard Music Awards [VIDEO]

Meghan Trainor was the first artist to bring some heartfelt lyrics to the 2015 Billboard Awards and she brought crooner John Legend along for the ride on Sunday evening (May 17).

The "All About That Bass" creator showcased her surprisingly strong pipes when she stepped out into the quiet spotlight onstage. Trainor was dressed in a black top and floor-length sequined skirt for her performance of "Like I'm Gonna Lose You." Shortly after she moved through her lyrics, Legend joined her to add his own honeyed vocals.

"So let's take our time / To say what we want / Use what we got," he sang. Towards the end of the ballad, dedicated to renewed love, the two held hands and two-stepped to the rhythm.

Quick, simple and, above all, effective, Meghan Trainor proved that she's definitely about more than just that bass.
