Karrueche Tran Talks Rihanna and 'Heartbreak' With Chris Brown

Chris Brown's girlfriend Karrueche Tran opens up about her very public romance with the embattled R&B singer and the emotional toll that comes with it.

In an emotional interview on Keke Palmer's new BET talk show, 'Just Keke,' Tran reveals how difficult it is being caught in the middle between Breezy and his ex-girlfriend Rihanna.

"I’ve never dated a celebrity before, so it was very new to me -- paparazzi and all that," she tells Palmer. "And then, even the situation with Rihanna... the reason that why people tuned into this so much is because it’s relatable. I have girlfriends, I have family, who [have] gone through it -- it’s the case of the ex."

“In this case, my boyfriend is a celebrity whose ex-girlfriend is an even bigger celebrity," she continues. "Not only am I fighting a battle with her, I’m fighting a battle with her 14 million fans. "Because I stay so mute sometimes, it gives them open space for them to say whatever they want."

So what was the hardest part of being Brown's girlfriend?

“I guess I would say the heartbreak, because it was a real situation," Tran replies before getting choked up.

Meanwhile, Palmer went on Instagram to defend her interview with the 26-year-old model. She writes:

So lets talk about this...Some Rihanna fans feel a way about my interview with Karrueche. I have enough respect for Rihanna to address the topic, and I’m a Virgo so there are a couple of things I have to get straight. No one has ever heard her speak about anything pertaining to her relationship until... #JustKeKe...People make ideas of what my intentions are and I will willingly tell you... Lets be real. People want to hear what Karrueche has to say … The ones that love/hate Rihanna, the ones that love /hate Karrueche. My loyalty is to the community."
