Katy Perry Skipping People’s Choice Awards

Perry took to twitter this week to announce that she will not be attending the People’s Choice Awards in Los Angeles.  Early she told her fans that it was going to be her first appearance since her divorce from Russell Brand.  Not sure what the reasoning was for skipping out on the awards show but thinks it has something to do with Brand being in attendance as well.  Perry thanks her fans for being there and supporting her during her tough time and thanks them for voting for her at the People’s Choice Awards.  Perry is up for seven awards this year including favorite female artist, song of the year featuring Kanye West.  Her next scheduled appearance will be at the Grammys on February 12^th.
