The Wall Street Journal reported in August that Katy Perry, Rihanna and Coldplay were asked if they were interested in performing during the Super Bowl. Well, it has been confirmed that Katy Perry will be onstage for the Pepsi Halftime Show.

There was a rumor a while back that the NFL was going to make future performers pay a fee to secure the coveted spot to perform during halftime. Page Six reports that Perry had at that time responded to by saying "I’m not the kind of girl who would pay to play the Super Bowl." So I suppose she did not pay a dime. Good for her!

What song would you NOT want Perry to perform? (I personally don't want her to sing "E.T." LOL! Last year, I screamed with delight when Bruno Mars and the Red Hot Chili Peppers performed, so I am looking forward to watching Perry's performance.
