Singers Kehlani and Charlie Puth, two of the hottest rising stars in R&B, slow it down for their cover of Drake's "Hotline Bling."

In lieu of the original bouncy club hit, the tandem let their vocals take over the smooth beat and piano. Puth starts off the song with the hook and chorus by singing "you used to call me on my cell phone," before falling into a falsetto as he croons "and I know when that hotline bling." Kehlani joins about halfway through the song for the second chorus as they harmonize together, before she takes the next verse.

Overall, the song is soothing for a night at home and is a nice alternative to Drake's more upbeat version. Kehlani and Puth aren't the first to cover the song though. The rising R&B star, Alessia Cara also covered it in mid-August.

Drake released the song, about a love interest who no longer calls when she is lonely, at the end of July with producer Nineteen85. And it's remained in the Top 100 of the Billboard charts for four weeks.

Puth is well-known for lending his voice on the chart-topping hit "See You Again" featuring Wiz Khalifa. Kehlani has been making strides of her own and released a fun track "The Way," with Chance The Rapper in July.
