This is a shock, we know: a celebrity has come out swinging against President Donald Trump.

Marc Anthony ripped Trump on Twitter over POTUS' comments about NFL players taking a knee during the national anthem, while residents of Puerto Rico continue to struggle in the wake of Hurricane Maria. Anthony, who is part owner of the NFL's Miami Dolphins, is of Puerto Rican descent.

The president's remarks dominated the news cycle over the weekend and he didn't address the crisis in Puerto Rico until Monday evening (Sept. 25), after Anthony made his comments.

Anthony's ex-wife, Jennifer Lopez, has taken steps to help recovery efforts. She announced she will donate $1 million from proceeds from her Las Vegas show to assist hurricane relief in Puerto Rico and the Caribbean.
