In case anyone had any doubts, both Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj confirmed their exits from 'American Idol' last night (May 30).

Mimi's PR team confirmed her quitting on Twitter, posting:

It's been pretty much a given that Carey wasn't returning, especially considering she almost quit before this season was even over. "Mariah doesn’t want to come back. Nicki is really disrespecting her, and she's tired of trying to bite her tongue all the time," a Fox source said earlier this month. The only thing keeping her around was her contract.

Meanwhile, Minaj announced her own exit on Twitter:

For their part, Fox and Fremantle Productions only had kind words for the ladies.

Of Carey, they said in a statement (via USA Today), "Mariah Carey is a true global icon -- one of the most accomplished artists on the planet -- and we feel extremely fortunate that she was able to bring her wisdom and experience to the 'American Idol' contestants this season. We know she will remain an inspiration to 'Idol' hopefuls for many seasons to come."

As for Minaj? They kept it succinct, simply saying they wished her the best.

Think it's clear which side of the feud Fox was on?
