2012 Golden Spikes winner, and Seattle Mariners First Round draft pick, Mike Zunino has played just four games in the Northwest League for the Everett Aqua Sox…  and his days may be numbered there already.

The third overall pick in this past June’s Major League draft will be in town for the next five days beginning tonight when the playoff-bound Yakima Bears open a series at home against the Mariners farm team.

It may be the best and only opportunity you’ll have to see the potential future catcher for the M’s as Zunino has already tore up N.W.L. pitching and is beginning his pro career on the fast track to ”The Show.”

In just four games, Zunino is batting a robust .412 (7 for 15) with three homers and three RBI while walking once and striking out three times as well.  At this pace, he will be moved up in the Mariners system and out of the league in no time at all.

Catch a rising star tonight and welcome the Bears back into town and congratulate the first half NWL East division champions!  Tonight is also “Thirsty Thursday” with soda just $1 and domestic draft beer just $2
