Many people in the Pacific Northwest were looking forward to see Maroon 5 and Kelly Clarkson at the Gorge on Saturday, September 28th. Unfortunately, due to wind and rain, they cancelled the show. Adam Levine, the class act he is, was the one to break the news to the thousands in attendance.

This is the first show in LiveNation's 27 years that they've ever cancelled a show. The decision was unanimous by representatives of the artists and LiveNation in the interest of audience, artist and crew safety.

After trying to wait it out for an hour or two, an announcement had to be made. Instead of being a stage-hand or someone from the crew, it was Adam Levine himself from Maroon 5 who came out and said, due to safety issues, the show was cancelled. The caused quite a few grumblings in the crowd, but I'm sure the blow was softened by the fact that Adam was the one to break the bad news.

Here's a sample of what it was like to be there.
