Miss Miley Cyrus may do and say a lot of eyebrow-raising things — whether she's riding wrecking balls, wrestlin' naked in the mud with her pet pig or just campaigning hard for the #FreeTheNipple movement on her Instagram — but you can't say she isn't doing the best to do the most with her wild antics.

Following the establishment of her Happy Hippie Foundation for LGBTQ support and homeless youth organizations, the Bangerz pop princess announced today on Instagram that she, in partnership with the photo sharing service, is kicking off a new social media campaign called #InstaPride, in order to "share stories of transgender and gender expansive people from around the country."

And to kick off the campaign, which will run for the next two weeks, she began by shining a spotlight on a 19-year-old college student named Leo, who identifies as a trans man.

Miley opened up about her own experience with gender and sexuality in PAPER, in which she confirmed that she considers herself gender-fluid — or at least, unwilling to adhere to a label. "I don't relate to being boy or girl, and I don't have to have my partner relate to boy or girl," she explained.

Coupled with the ongoing conversation about Caitlyn Jenner, the transgender community is being discussed more loudly than ever in the mainstream media than right now — and that's yet another huge step toward LGBT equality. Good on you for keeping the conversation going, Miley! It's a liberty walk, indeed.
