It only makes sense that, since the Yakima Valley hosts three-fourths of the hops used in the United States, that we have plenty of beer festivals to celebrate this fact. We used to have one or two a year and now we're getting to the point where we have several coming and going. The Washington Beer Commission just announced the Tri-Cities Craft Beer Festival and it's coming sooner than you think!

Saturday, April 29 the Southridge Sports and Events Complex in Kennewick will be full of good people, a fun atmosphere and 35 of Washgington states best breweries pouring over 100 different beers. There'll also be food trucks on hand for snacking convenience.

Many local-area beers are featured including Bale Breaker and Ice Harbor and plenty of other beers in Washington state like Dru Bru, Old Schoolhouse, Pike and Elysian, just to name a few.

This is a 21 and older event. Tickets are only $20 or $25 at the door. Admission gets you a sample glass and six tasting tokens with more tokens available for purchase at the event.

What I love about this event is that they have a special Designated Driver admission for only $5 and comes with free water and pop. Thank you for doing this! I wish ever event did this.

This is another to add to the calendar of beer events the Washington Beer Commission does including the Collaboration Festival in Seattle in August, Tacoma Craft Beer Festival in November and the Inland NW Craft Beer Festival in Spokane in September, just to name a few.
