During a report on an ordinance that only allows the city sidewalk cafe’s to stay open until 10 PM, Bill O’Neil of News 12 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina tried to spice up the mundane subject by sitting in one of these sidewalk cafes during his live shot. If not for a gray-haired woman who continued to use the sidewalk for how it was intended, the set up would have worked just great.

As you can see, when the lady realizes that she stepped into the middle of O’Neil’s shot she tries her best to duck out of the way and completely fails. Her behavior harkens back to a time when folks had respect for local newscasters, not that anything-goes-look-at-me-attitude that the kids of today adopt when they see a news crew filming.
