One Hit Wonder Artist Passes Away At 53 (Video)

Having a hit is a big deal and even a one hit wonder that everyone knows is even better. It is sad to report that Chrissy Amphlett has passed away at 53.

I always got her look mixed up with Chrissie Hynde of The Pretenders but Chrissy Amphlett fronted the band The Divinyls for several years and had a big hit in the early 90′s “I Touch Myself”. The band had several albums but never seemed to gain traction with a mass appeal audience. Chrissie developed MS in 2007 and was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2010. She was 53.

The Divinyls one hit makes the best of the 90′s lists all the time and she’ll long be remembered for the music.
